Transforming 40 affordable homes in need of extensive repairs into 187 new affordable homes by 2024.

Three of Home Forward's smaller public housing properties will be sold in 2025. Beginning in January 2021, Home Forward is working in partnership with current residents to ensure they have choices that make sense for their household. Home Forward is committed to provide continued housing subsidy to these current households via a range of program options.
A new apartment community with 206 affordable homes located on SE Powell Blvd near 30th in Portland will open by June 2024.
Peaceful Villa redevelopment planning is underway
As of February 2022, work is underway to design 94 affordable apartments at a site provided by Multnomah County in the historic old town area of Troutdale, adjacent to SW 257th Avenue. Metro's affordable housing bond funds are providing the financial base for this project.
Starting during the summer of 2023, Home Forward will construct 84 new affordable homes on the current site of Portland Community College's Portland Metropolitan Workforce Training Center (PMWTC), located at NE 42nd and Killingsworth. PCC's redevelopment of their facility began construction in January 2022. Phase II's housing construction will begin after the current workforce center moves into their new building and the existing building is demolished.
Redevelopment of this historic 82-unit SRO building will begin in Spring 2023. Existing residents will receive full relocation benefits and the choice to return to the building after significant seismic and interior improvements are completed. Located at the corner of SW Harvey Milk Blvd and SW 11th, the building is close to transit and many downtown services. After rehab there will be 75 newly renovated SRO's and studios. All new residents will have experienced chronic homelessness and receive Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) services provided by Urban League of Portland.
