Home Forward opens waiting lists at its public housing apartment communities when the wait time drops to a year or less.  At public housing communities, rent is based on the tenant's income, which makes these homes affordable to persons with very low incomes.  Some of Home Forward's public housing apartment communities are dedicated to providing homes for seniors and persons with disabilities.
