Policy Document
Home Forward operates its public housing program according to policies contained in a document required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which funds the program.
The document is called the Admission and Continued Occupancy Policy. It covers a wide range of subjects on our public housing program, from its history, to the definition of a disability, to eligibility and program rules, to rent calculation and record keeping. Some of the policies about living at our public housing apartment communities are explained in less formal language on other pages of the Public Housing Handbook. This is the place to come for the complete set of policies that guide public housing at Home Forward.
